TDC FORECAST PROFITDanish telecoms operator has increased its forecast for end 2001 net profit by 25%. Its 9-month financial review saw its net income move to 750 million crowns (EUR 98.83 million)TELECOM ITALIA TO CUT DEBT

Telecom Italia is reported to be selling it 30 per cent holding in Telekom Austria, and may also dispose of stakes in France's Bouygues Telecom, Spanish telecoms holding company Auna, and Turkish mobile venture Aria, 49 per cent owned by mobile arm TIM. Now controlled by Pirelli, it will retain its Latin America interests but possibly raise up to EUR 6 billion through the disposals DEUTSCHE TELEKOM EBITDA GROWS

Deutsche Telekom reported nine-month net profit of EUR 1.6 billion before goodwill and excluding third-generation (3G) costs. But the net income showed a loss of EUR 3.1 billion (US$2.81 billion) for the nine months. However its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) in the nine-month period showed double-digit growth. WILLIAMS COMMUNICATIONS PROFIT GROWS

Williams Communications announced third quarter revenues of US$297.8 million, an increase of US$88.5 million, or 42 percent, over the third quarter 2000.
