Folks,
This is a two week Working Group last call notice for the VPIM v2 drafts to
end on May 16th. These drafts are to go to Draft Standard RFC status. Of
course, there is an ongoing dependency on the DSN & MDN references -- but
that is being worked in parallel.
Minor changes, but significant clarifying wording changes, outlined by Greg
at IETF 49, were made to the base VPIM v2 specification that was originally
published as Proposed Standard RFC 2421 in 1998. Several minor changes
resulting from this discussion, and outlined by Greg in his email yesterday,
resulted in the latest draft. No notable changes have been made in either
the audio/32kadpcm registration or the Content Duration header definition
drafts. Note that the multipart/voice-message document has been merged into
the base VPIM v2 specification.
Some helpful comparisons between Proposed Standard RFC 2421 & these new
drafts have been provided by the authors and are available on the website:
http://www.ema.org/vpim/specs/specs.html#vpimv2r2
As it has been nearly two years since the first draft revision of VPIM v2
appeared, I would encourage you to review these latest drafts and provide
any comments to the list.
The drafts are in the Internet repositories and also on the VPIM website:

Thanks in advance for you help in reviewing these drafts.
Cheers,
Glenn Parsons
