Can we get someone to find out if:
1. Do these patents really cover GSM?
2. Are these patents still in force? (Philips may not have paid the renewal
fees.)
3. Has Philips ever given away the rights?
4. Is Philips willing to give away the rights to the IETF for its use in
VPIM.
5. If the patents cover GSM, are still in force, and are not in the public
domain, is Philips willing to "equitably license" the patents?
