true. but I really wonder - in a world where these are integrated
rather than inherently tied to specific kinds of devices, will the 'style
of use' conventions remain the same as they are today?
I remember a time not terribly long ago when emails were considered to
be disregardable, voice mails were nonexistent, faxes were for routine
communications - but a telex demanded immediate attention!
(even though faxes were faster and had better fidelity)
what does this mean for vpim? not sure - perhaps it means that we
should distinguish things as voice/page/fax/email/IM without assuming
the relative priority or imporatance of each. or maybe it means that
we shouldn't try to represent such things at all?
