As an "IMAP server vendor", here's my public statement on what I already told
Eric in private:
It doesn't matter much to me whether there is a Content-Criticality header, or
a CRITIALITY parameter to Content-Type. I always believed that there should
only have been one MIME header, and use parameters for everything else. But
that horse is long out of the barn.
I am concerned, given the stalling against having Content-Location appear in
the IMAP BODYSTRUCTURE, that there is probably little chance of ever having
Content-Criticality in there. So, as a purely practical matter, I recommend
the CRITICALITY parameter as something that you won't have to fight to see
happen.
