Hello all;
FYI, to help ease the pain of reviewing the "new and improved" VPIM v2, I
have gone through RFC2421 (the "original" VPIM v2 text) and
draft-ietf-vpim-vpimv2r2-00.txt (the "clarified" VPIM v2), and put together
a couple of documents highlighting the differences between them. I've had
these documents put on the VPIM website.
The first document, located at http://www.vpim.org/specs/diff.htm, is a
spreadsheet that compares the "MUST", "SHOULD", "MAY", "SHOULD NOT", "MUST
NOT", and "RECOMMEND" statements between the two versions. It is color
coded (legend is at the bottom of the page) to indicate what new statements
were added to draft-ietf-vpim-vpimv2r2-00.txt, what statements were removed
from RFC2421, what text has been modified, and what is the same.
The other document, located at http://www.vpim.org/specs/diff_table.htm
(that's "diff_table.htm"), is an MS Word diff (with some manual touch ups)
of Appendix A - the Feature Table - between the two versions.
These files are accessible from the main VPIM page at http://www.vpim.org by
clicking the "Technical Specification" link at the top, under the bullet
"Differences between RFC2421 and draft-ema-vpim-vpimv2r2-02.txt".
