Folks,

This is Stuart's cut at combining his IVM draft and my Simple V3. I would
suggest that this will be the base document for IVM.

Note that many of the details in here are still to be worked out. This is
mostly a framework document at this stage.

I've asked Stuart to provide us a brief intro on what he has done to us in
Pittsburgh (he is currently on vacation). Though I suspect most of our time
will be spent discussing the details.
