Agenda Items for IETF 48 in Pittsburgh

Folks,

I've been distracted by my day job these past few months...

Anyway, for those of you that missed it (because I did :-) -- VPIM is now a
working group. The charter is on the IETF website at:
http://www.ietf.org/html.charters/vpim-charter.html The VPIM website these
days is at: http://www.vpim.org

Now that we are an IETF work group, I would ask all authors to submit their
drafts that are part of the charter under the draft-ietf-vpim- root. Note
that John or I have to confirm your draft is part of the charter to the ID
editor in order for it to be published, so remember to copy us (or even have
us submit it).

Don't forget that the Internet Draft submission deadline for the next
meeting is next Friday, July 14th.

In any case here are the topics that I think we will want to discuss and put
on the agenda:

VPIM v2
Greg & I will likely have a new draft out to discuss (the old one is
draft-ema-vpim-vpimv2r2-02.txt). However, the interesting discussion will
be on the status of moving the dependencies like DSN and MDNs forward to
Draft Standard. There are also rumours of a bakeoff...

VPIM Directory
There are two topics here. The first is the global address resolution
provided by ENUM. Greg was going to propose a draft on VPIM's use of ENUM.
Secondly, we were going to close on the VPIM schema (Greg & Anne were going
to merge their proposals draft-ema-vpimdir-schema-01.txt &
draft-vaudreuil-vpimdir-avs-00.txt ).

VPIM Addressing
I am thinking we should last call draft-ema-vpim-address-01.txt, but given
the confusion at the last meeting perhaps it would be worth discussing
again. Or maybe the author should explain it better...

IVM
The goals document draft-ema-vpimv3-goals-01.txt may be fine as-is, if so
it's time for last call to Informational. Stuart & I are merging our drafts
(draft-ema-vpim-voicemsg-00.txt & draft-ema-vpim-simpleV3-01.txt) to form a
baseline IVM document. There are the MS-GSM expired drafts that we need an
update from Microsoft on. As well, I think that we probably need some more
discussion on the primary/critical content concept, its requirements and
implications. The current drafts for this are draft-ema-vpim-pndn-01.txt,
draft-burger-vpim-cc-00.txt. & draft-burger-vpim-pc-00.txt

VPIM Addenda
These may or may not fall under our charter but I still think they are
relevant and useful to review. I am expecting to see the following:
 - a new/revised IMAP draft on telset playback of voice messages
 - a draft on extended headers (for spoken name, subject, etc.)
 - a draft on putting CLID info in the headers
 - a draft on desired client behaviour when dealing with voice mail
 - a draft on content negotiation for voice mail

How does this sound? Is there anything I am missing?

Cheers,
Glenn.
