I agree that this is a wider problem applicable to both realtime and
store-and-forward voice and fax. We need a unified solution which is what I
hope will come out of enum.
However, there are various proposals that currently exist to do this.
Several vendors are testing some of these proposals in VPIM deployments
coordinated by the VMA and TMIA.
I have included in the charter the documentation of these and possibly the
choice of one for VPIM (details to be worked out as we understand what enum
will do) in the VPIM addressing and directory drafts.
So I think this is sufficiently covered.
