Thank you for that observation. I think I now understand the nature of the
miscommunication.

I believe Philipp was referring to the Microsoft WAVE registry, and I have
no argument with him in that respect.

I was referring the the "IANA registration of MIME content-type audio/wav",
which is a different matter.
